About the Employer

A lovely lady is looking for a reliable and compassionate Personal Assistant on a casual basis to provide cover for annual leave, sickness, and other planned absences.

She enjoys gardening, arts and crafts, and accessing the local community, and is looking for someone who can support her to continue participating in the activities she enjoys while maintaining her independence.

About the Role

The role involves providing support with day-to-day activities, including some minimal, non-intimate personal care, alongside practical and social support as required.

Duties may include

Supporting with accessing the community and attending activities.

Assisting with light household tasks where required.

Encouraging participation in hobbies and interests, including gardening and crafts.

Promoting independence, wellbeing, and social inclusion.

Developing a positive and trusting working relationship.

Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.

Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.

Assist with household chores and general homemaking.

Support and/or prompt to attend appointments as necessary, e.g. hospital/doctors.

Support with food shopping.

Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.

Support with gardening.

The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

As needs may vary from day to day, flexibility and a willingness to undertake other reasonable duties are essential.

Full driving licence is essential as the role requires you to drive the employer’s vehicle, for insurance purpose you must be 25.
