Consultant in Anaesthesia

The post holders will work a 10 PA contract based at St Marys Hospital, joining an on-call rota set at 1:12 (adults). We are looking for outstanding anaesthetists with an interest in in trauma and general anaesthesia with significant experience in our other sub-specialties including vascular, plastic surgery, regional anaesthesia, perioperative medicine and ophthalmic anaesthesia. The successful applicant will become part of our busy department. The workload demands a flexible and responsive service to both emergency and elective work within the operating theatre environment, emergency department and in remote sites including MRI, CT and interventional radiology. In addition to a broad range of both elective and emergency clinical work, the post-holder will have ample opportunity to be involved in research, teaching and training, governance and leadership opportunities, as well as QI projects.
