About this role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team. Youll be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, maintaining excellent food safety standards, and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.present dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Work across all kitchen sections, including fish, grill, starters and desserts.
- Ensure all seafood and ingredients are handled, stored and prepared correctly.
- Maintain exceptional food hygiene and comply with HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Keep your section clean, organised and fully stocked throughout service.
- Monitor food quality, portion control and minimise waste.
- Assist with stock rotation, deliveries and inventory management.
- Support the Head Chef with menu development and daily specials.
- Work effectively as part of a close-knit kitchen team.
- Help train and support junior kitchen staff where required.
- Ensure all equipment is used safely and reported if faulty.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant.
- Experience preparing fresh seafood is desirable but full training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Passion for producing high-quality food.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and allergen awareness.
- A positive attitude, reliability and excellent teamwork.
