HGV Class 2 Driver

Great opportunity for HGV Class 2 Drivers in Sheffield to join a well establised partner of Palletways and UPN

Our client, after being established in 1983, joined the newly formed Palletways network in 1994, providing a cost-effective solution to transport for companies and individuals based within South Yorkshire and Derbyshire, specialising in palletised distribution. After rapidly expanding over the past 20 years, they moved to a new site situated off junction 30 on the M1, joining their second network UPN in 2021, where they've gone from strength to strength. They are now looking to add additional HGV Class 2 Drivers to join their team. The role of a HGV Class 2 Driver will involve multi-drop delivery of palletised goods to customers throughout South Yorkshire as well as Derbyshire. Drivers will be required to either open a curtain and wait to be unloaded, or offload pallets using a pump truck and tail lift.

All drivers will be expected to carry out vehicle checks prior to deliveries and complete all paperwork in line with company guidelines.

To be considered for this role, you must have the following,

• HGV Class 2 Licence
• Digital tacho card
• A full UK CPC
• No more than 6 points on your licence

You must also have held your licence for a minimum of 1 year with at least 180 days commercial driving experience

This is a full-time on-going position with temp to perm opportunities also available

Working hours are Monday to Friday with start times being being between0700 and 0800 each day.

Average length shift is 10 hours per evening.

Pay for this role is £18.00 per hour Monday to Friday
