Practice Nurse (Maternity Cover)

Job Description To provide a range of high quality general nursing services and specialist nursing advice and care to patients. Main duties and responsibilities include Working autonomously Assisting with long term disease management Leg ulcer management Wound management Child and adult immunisations Child health/child protection Cervical cytology Travel advice and vaccinations Health promotion Learning Disability Reviews Emergency management anaphylaxis and resuscitation techniques Performing ECGs Venepuncture and requesting pathology testing NHS Health Checks Infection control Chaperoning Keeping clinical rooms tidy and stocked Ordering of supplies as necessary Attend and participate in clinical and practice meetings when required Proactive in identifying own needs for personal and professional development Aware of the responsibility of all employees to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients staff and visitors Ensure all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard and in accordance with any current quality initiatives Provide patient care in accordance with current PGDs and clinical protocols Any other duties as required
