Duties of a Vehicle Technician
- Conduct diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
- Communicate repair issues effectively to service managers and advisors
- Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment for thorough testing and repair
- Complete repairs within agreed timeframes adhering to company standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment as a Vehicle Technician
- Keep accurate records of work carried out and parts used
- Assist in identifying additional repair needs and communicate with team efficiently
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician
- Experience as a Vehicle Technician is essential
- Fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance or similar
- Time-served technicians with relevant experience will be considered
- Full UK driving licence is mandatory
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
- A team player attitude and good communication skills
