⦁ 30 minutes unpaid break

⦁ 39 paid hours per week

Salary

⦁ £18.80 per hour

⦁ £38,126 basic per annum

Job Overview

An experienced Programmer / Setter / Operator is required to join a busy and expanding precision engineering team. The role involves programming, setting, and operating Prototrak and Siemens-controlled machines to produce high-quality, precision-engineered components.

Work is fast-paced and varied, consisting mainly of one-off and small batch production manufactured from drawings, samples, and sketches for customers across a range of industrial sectors.

Experience Requirements

⦁ Time-served engineer

⦁ Extensive experience programming, setting, and operating XYZ Proturn 555 and 425

⦁ Conventional machining experience would be a strong advantage

⦁ Siemens control experience would be beneficial

⦁ Experience working in a similar fast-paced, jobbing environment

⦁ Ability to work to close tolerances and tight deadlines

⦁ Confident working from samples, sketches, and engineering drawings

⦁ Strong mechanical engineering background in light to medium engineering

⦁ Proven experience carrying out repair work and reverse engineering
