Shepherd – Bolton Abbey East Moors

Unique Shepherding Opportunity in the Yorkshire Dales

The Bolton Abbey Estate is seeking an experienced Shepherd to manage hill sheep across 6,225 acres of stunning moorland.

Working with approximately 1,500 predominantly Swaledale sheep, you will be responsible for flock health and welfare, grazing

management, and supporting the long-term development of an Estate flock. The role also includes assisting with moorland

maintenance alongside the Estate team.

We are looking for someone with

* Excellent sheep husbandry skills

* A strong pack of fit, well-trained sheepdogs

* Experience of hill farming and grazing management

* A practical approach to moorland maintenance
