About this role

GR Employment Ltd is recruiting for a Courier Driver on behalf of one of our customers in Gatwick, Crawley area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from customers. This role is essential in upholding the company’s values and ethos, delivering service with speed, passion, and a can-do attitude.

You will be expected to provide excellent customer service, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure.

Shift pattern

Monday to Friday 7:45 AM to 5:15 PM or 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM

30 minutes unpaid break

Hourly Rate

£14.73 per hour

Shift Premium

Extra £2.80 per hour after 7.00 pm

Saturday Premium

Extra £1.22 per hour

Sunday Premium

Extra £2.27 per hour

Job responsibilities

Multi drop, roughly 70-80 stops per day (collections and delivery)

Previous multi-drop experience is highly desirable, though not strictly required, but applicants must feel completely comfortable driving a Long Wheelbase (LWB) van

As a Courier Driver, you will be measured on customer satisfaction and the successful completion of time-definite deliveries and collections. As a frontline representative of the company, you are expected to carry out all tasks with a strong customer-focused approach.

You will also be responsible for scanning shipments and working quickly and efficiently to ensure warehouse deadlines are met. The role requires the ability to make sound decisions and perform effectively under pressure.
