Applications are invited for the post of International Adviser working within the Directorate of Student Life at Royal Holloway University of London.
This full-time role provides an exciting opportunity to support and empower international students throughout their student journey, providing specialist immigration and international student advice and play an important role in the delivery of Royal Holloway’s wellbeing and experience offering. The Directorate of Student Life includes a broad range of student facing teams who are core to the student journey: Active Lifestyle & Sport, Chaplaincy, Counselling & Mental Health, Disability & Neurodiversity, Hall Life, International & Money Advice, Student Casework, Student Engagement & Insights, and Wellbeing Support.
Reporting to the Head of International and Money Advice, they will contribute to the work of the Directorate and support the strategy and aims of the University and Student Journey Division. Role holders will be expected to demonstrate our University values - being Daring, Innovative, Open and Respectful – in their work and be a champion of equality, diversity and inclusion.
They will be required to provide accurate and timely immigration advice in accordance with OISC/IAA requirements, support compliance activities, deliver guidance and presentations to students, and work collaboratively with colleagues across the University to enhance the experience of international students.
We are also seeking a candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience of advising clients in a complex regulatory environment, and the ability to work sensitively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
With roles in Student Life there is a need for mainly campus-based working to enable in-person student appointments, based on student preference and need, but there will be some opportunity for working remotely each week.
