Cover People are recruiting on behalf of a high-achieving secondary school in South Manchester for an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of English to join their team from September 2026. About the Role
- Teach English Language and English Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 opportunities available for suitable candidates
- Deliver creative and engaging lessons that challenge and motivate learners
- Foster a classroom culture built on high expectations, respect and inclusion
- Assess student progress and use feedback to maximise achievement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and share best practice
- Contribute to the school's enrichment programme and wider community
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to achieve QTS by September 2026
- A degree in English or a related subject
- Passionate about English and inspiring young people to achieve their best
- Confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Committed to continuous professional development and raising standards
