Kitchen Assistant - Care Home

We are looking for a reliable, flexible and caring Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly care home team. This is an important role in supporting the preparation and delivery of meals and refreshments for our residents, helping to ensure they receive a positive, respectful and enjoyable dining experience.

The successful candidate will have a genuine empathy for older and vulnerable people and will understand the importance of working with kindness, dignity and respect in a care home environment.

• Support the kitchen team with the preparation, serving and clearing away of meals and refreshments.

• Help maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining environment.

• Follow food hygiene, infection prevention and health and safety procedures.

• Work respectfully around residents, visitors and colleagues.

• Support the wider team by being flexible and willing to cover shifts where needed.
