Full Job Description is attached. As a CYP ASD Assessor, you will be responsible for: Clinical Assessment Reviewing referrals and supporting information. Completing autism assessments using evidence-based approaches. Gathering multi-informant evidence across home and educational settings. Utilising validated assessment tools and questionnaires where required. Assessing developmental history, neurodevelopmental presentation and functional impact. Contributing to MDT diagnostic decision-making aligned with DSM-5 and ICD-11 criteria. Identifying co-existing needs, risks and safeguarding concerns. Communication and Reporting Producing detailed, accurate diagnostic reports. Providing neurodiversity-affirming feedback to families. Communicating outcomes and recommendations clearly and professionally. Sharing assessment outcomes with GPs in line with consent and information governance requirements. Providing advice and signposting to appropriate support services. Governance and Quality Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation. Working within safeguarding policies and clinical governance frameworks. Participating in supervision, reflective practice and mandatory training. Contributing to service evaluation, audit and quality improvement activities. Supporting safe and effective pathway delivery. Partnership Working Working closely with operational teams to maintain pathway efficiency. Collaborating with MDT colleagues including nursing, psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and medical professionals. Liaising appropriately with education, health and community services to support patient care and onward planning.
