Field Supervisor
Job Summary
The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, supervising field staff, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with organizational standards and client requirements. This role involves coordinating schedules, monitoring performance, providing on-site support, and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of field staff.
Assign work schedules, monitor attendance, and ensure adequate staffing levels.
Conduct site visits to monitor work quality, productivity, and compliance with company policies.
Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to field employees.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Resolve operational issues and respond to client or employee concerns in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, timesheets, and incident documentation.
Coordinate the delivery of equipment, materials, and resources required for field operations.
Communicate regularly with management regarding project progress, staffing, and operational challenges.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of new field staff.
Investigate and report workplace incidents, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure service excellence.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; certificate, diploma, or bachelor's degree in a relevant field is an asset.
Previous experience in field operations, team leadership, or supervisory roles.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting systems.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between work sites as required.
Working Conditions
Primarily field-based with regular travel to multiple work sites.
May require working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
Occasional evening, weekend, or on-call work depending on operational requirements.
Physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting, may be required.
