A local SEND school located in Margate are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their inclusive team to support pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs) and additional learning difficulties.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people aged 11-16 to build confidence, regulate behaviours, and succeed in education.

About The School
This independent special school supports students with SEMH, ASD and other SEN needs who may have struggled in mainstream education. The focus is on positive behaviour support, emotional development, and preparing pupils for independent life in a structured and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide 1
1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Support teaching staff with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Implement consistent behaviour management strategies
- Encourage positive learning behaviours and independence
- Support pupils' social, emotional and mental health development (SEMH)
Essential Requirements
- Experience as a Learning Support Assistant / SEN TA or in a SEND setting
- Strong understanding of SEMH, ASD and additional needs
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
