Deputy Manager - Children’s Residential Home

About this role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a therapeutic Children's Residential Home in West Sussex. The home accommodates up to 4 young people (aged 10-17) and utilizes the PACE approach to trauma-informed care.

The Role

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in leading the home in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards.

Key Responsibilities

Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence.

Ensure safeguarding is the highest priority and risk assessments are consistently updated.

Supervise and support the development of the staff team, including managing rotas and training.

Lead on Missing Persons procedures and ensure detailed logs are kept.

Assist with financial management and budget monitoring.

Essential Requirements

Must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care for Children and Young People (or equivalent).

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a Children’s Residential setting.

Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations (Candidates with only Adult/CQC experience are not suitable).

Full UK Driving Licence.

Willingness to work towards a Level 5 Diploma.

Benefits

Salary of £35,000 - £38,000.

30 Days Holiday (including Bank Holidays).
