The successful candidate will be a warm, kind and emotionally supportive carer who is skilled at reassuring people and helping them feel safe and understood. The role involves visiting the client's home for 1 hour per week to provide practical support, companionship and encouragement with daily tasks.

Key responsibilities

During visits to the client's home, the carer will

  • Undertake household tasks such as cleaning and laundry
  • Provide transport to appointments
  • Offer friendly companionship and emotional support
  • Prompt and encourage the client with personal care, including hygiene and medication management

The client has hypersensitivity to smells, sounds and lights. They are particularly sensitive to synthetic fragrances and perfumes (essential oils are acceptable), loud talking and bright lighting. The carer should be mindful of these sensitivities at all times.

The client's home is smoke-free and they are a pet owner.
