Responsibilities of our

Learning and Development Partner

Design and deliver high-impact learning experiences - create and facilitate engaging, evidence-based learning solutions (both digital and face-to-face) that drive performance, behaviour change and long-term impact across the charity.

Partner with stakeholders to identify learning needs - Work collaboratively with leaders and teams to understand organisational priorities, diagnose capability gaps and develop targeted learning interventions aligned to strategic goals.

Lead and support learning projects and programmes -Take ownership of key learning and development initiatives, including leadership programmes and People Strategy projects, ensuring effective delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement.

Provide expert guidance and build learning capability - Act as a trusted L&D expert, offering coaching, facilitation and advice to support the development of individuals, teams and volunteer facilitators, helping to foster a culture of continuous learning.

About the

Learning and Development team

This role sits within the Learning Impact Team, part of the wider Learning and Development function, which also includes Cat Welfare Learning and Digital Learning.

The team is dedicated to supporting all employees and volunteers to reach their full potential, enabling them to make a meaningful difference to the lives of cats in our care.

The Learning Impact Team provides support across all areas of learning and development, including guidance on learning opportunities, access to resources and enabling ongoing personal and professional growth.

Working collaboratively across the organisation, the team plays a key role in helping colleagues thrive in their roles and contribute to the mission of helping cats.

What we’re looking for in our

Learning and Development Partner

Proven L&D expertise – experience designing, delivering and evaluating impactful learning solutions across a diverse workforce, including volunteers

Strong stakeholder partnering skills – able to build trusted relationships, influence at all levels and translate organisational needs into effective learning interventions

Knowledge of learning theory and behaviour change – confident applying insights from organisational psychology to drive engagement, performance and sustainable change

Highly organised and self-motivated – able to manage multiple priorities, work independently and deliver high-quality outcomes in a complex environment
