This is a rewarding role where you'll play a key part in supporting students to grow in confidence, resilience, and independence within a caring and structured environment.

About the Position

In this role, you will support students with a range of additional needs, including complex mental health challenges. You'll help create a safe and encouraging space where learners can develop both academically and emotionally.

Key responsibilities include

  • Supporting pupils through emotional and behavioural challenges with patience and understanding
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and personal development
  • Assisting learners across different age groups and abilities, recognising and celebrating progress

The school adopts a holistic, therapeutic approach to education, with small class sizes and a strong focus on individual learning styles, ensuring each student receives tailored support.

Candidate Profile

  • A supportive and empathetic individual with a genuine interest in SEN
  • Previous experience is helpful but not required - a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adaptable, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team
