Oral & Maxillofacial Consultant - Specialist interest in Head and Neck

The post willalsosupport the general Oral & Maxillofacial consultant workload and on-call service The post will be part of thecore member of Head & Neck MDT Undertake outpatient clinics,new and follow-ups with supervision of junior staff asappropriate. Develop andmaintaincollaborative relationships with medicaland dentalcolleagues in other specialties andparticipatein regular clinical meetings and otherpost-graduateactivities. Develop andmaintaingood communicationwith General Practitioners (medical and dental), colleagues in the salaried dental services andallied health carepractitioners. Workcollaboratively with the multidisciplinary team within and outside the department. Active involvement in Audit, Clinical Governance,morbidityand mortality meetings Participation indepartmentaleducationalactivity. Share responsibility for dataprotection,particularly digital and electronic records. Ensure good clinical practice and continued professional development. The post holder willcomply withinfection control practices and any relevant trust policies and procedures with regards to Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults. Supervision of the Specialist Registrars will be expected.
