This appointment is for a Consultant Medical Oncologist with an interest in Urological cancers and Germ Cell tumours based at University Hospital Southampton.

You will join the Medical Oncology consultant team, specifically

• To provide specialist Medical Oncology input with expertise in Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy for these groups of patients.
• To treat patients with Urological and Germ cell tumours at UHS.
• To provide oncology input to the UHS Urology MDT and Germ cell MDT.

The principal duties of this post will be to

• Be a member of the Urological and Germ Cell MDT meetings
• Participate in the management of Urological and GCT patients
• Attend the Uro and GCT MDT meetings
• Share the patient referrals
• Support the Patient Triggered Follow Up (PTFU) pathways
• Provide medical oncology expertise to the Uro/GCT services
• Plan and supervise chemo/immunotherapy
• Conduct on treatment review clinics
• Supervise care of inpatients providing cross-cover for annual leave for other Uro/GCT Consultants at UHS.
• Provide Consultant input to Acute Oncology service at UHS.
• Engage in peer review meetings
• Participate in the recruitment and running of clinical trials
