Physical Stamina
This work will involve heavy lifting (e.g. tray of strawberries/cherries weigh up to 5 kg, a bucket of apples weigh approx. 12 kg), pushing barrows with trays of picked fruit, a lot of bending, crouching and stretching will be involved on a frequent basis so requires someone who is physically strong, dexterous and able to perform repetitive tasks.
Accuracy
Fruit pickers must carefully, yet quickly, inspect fruit for signs of bad quality fruit.
Weather
Must be willing to work in poor weather conditions, as well as in hot weather and mud.
