The Role of the

Exams and Administrative Assistant

* To assist the Exams Officer to maintain the effective operation of both internal and external exams (3 days) and provide

support for the General Office (2 days).

* Assisting with the registration of candidates for all examinations

* Assisting the Exams Officer by ensuring pupils are aware of their personal exam timetables, where required, supporting the

Exams Officer by resolving clashes in accordance with guidance and safeguarding procedures.

* Assisting with the logistics for examination sessions, including timetabling, room booking, resources and staffing with

guidance and procedures

* Assisting with support for the SENCO to implement access arrangements and reasonable adjustments as required

* Assist the Exams Officer in co-ordinating effective invigilation for all external public examinations and formal internal

examinations.

* Carry out necessary administrative tasks related to the organisation of examinations and examination sessions

* Arrange receipt, checking and distribution of examination results and certificates to candidates.

* To arrange for reviews of marking, retrieval of scripts and enquiries about results with the examination boards

* Ensure accurate upload and download of all student information and assessment data as needed both externally and internally

* Provide essential clerical and operational support to ensure smooth office workflows

* Provide back-up support for Reception/Staff absence, including providing cover for lunch breaks

* Provide administration support for the General Office and Finance and Office Manager when required

* Provide word-processing and Arbor support as required

* Provide back up support for input of registers on Arbor

* Assist with sorting and distributing incoming post, record and frank outgoing post

We’re looking for someone who

* Has worked in an Administration environment

* Has worked with confidential and/or sensitive information

* Is competent with common IT systems, e.g. Microsoft Office, MIS, Google Suite

* Has high standard of communication (verbal and written)

* Has the ability to follow policies and procedures set by the trust, school and external agencies

* Has had use of management information systems (preferably Arbor)
