At Batchelor Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, we’re looking for an Engineering Administrator to play a central role in keeping our operations running smoothly. This is a varied and fast-paced position where no two days are the same—perfect for someone who enjoys responsibility, structure, and working as part of a close-knit team.

The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day coordination of our engineering operations and office activities.

Key responsibilities include

Managing the day-to-day running of the office

Acting as the first point of contact for incoming calls and enquiries

Scheduling engineers and coordinating reactive repair works

Planning and organising maintenance visits with customers

Assisting with quotations and issuing maintenance contracts

Supporting the costing of remedial works (full training provided)

Handling invoice queries and supporting credit control

Assisting with planning and optimising engineers’ time

Maintaining training records and compliance documentation

Managing fleet requirements (MOT, tax, servicing)

Maintaining client equipment records in line with FGAS regulations (training provided)

Coordinating deliveries into the warehouse

Managing office supplies, uniforms, and checking engineer timesheets

About You

We’re looking for someone who is

Highly organised, disciplined, and process-driven

A confident communicator, both over the phone and via email

Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment

Customer-focused with a proactive, can-do attitude

Comfortable using IT systems and general office software

Flexible and adaptable in their approach to work

Experience within the HVAC industry is an advantage, but not essential—full training will be provided.

Salary & Benefits

Starting salary from £30,000, with progression based on experience and development

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (40 hours per week)

Flexibility required as needed to support business operations
