Cleaners - The Avenue School

About this role

6 am to 8.30 am or 3.30 pm to 6 pm, 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Term time only + 11 days during the Christmas, Easter & Summer holidays.

The Avenue is a Special Educational Needs School for children from the age of 2 – 19 in Tilehurst, Reading.

We are looking for an experienced cleaner to join our friendly and conscientious cleaning team who is able to work both mornings and evenings.

Duties will include

-

Vacuuming carpeted areas

Sweeping / mopping hard floors

Emptying and cleaning bins

Spot cleaning any spillages or accidents as required

Wiping down desks, seats and skirting boards

Cleaning school toilet areas and replenishing toiletries

Cleaning doors and windows

Cleaning kitchen/drinks areas

Checking stock levels of cleaning materials

Reporting hazards to the Health & Safety Manager

The successful candidates will be conscientious and reliable with a friendly and pro-active attitude. Previous cleaning experience is essential. All roles are subject to DBS checks.
