Quantity Surveyor role
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Commercial team. In this role, you will play a key part in the successful commercial management of projects, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
Quantity Surveyor responsibilities

Cost Control
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture, analyse, and control project costs
•
Client Collaboration
Collaborate with clients to ensure business requirements are met
•
Contract Management
Manage the main contract, including issuing notices and correspondence
•
Subcontract Administration
Prepare and issue subcontract documentation
•
Subcontractor Management
Assist in managing and evaluating subcontractor performance
•
Payment Management
Oversee the preparation and approval of applications for payment
•
Financial Planning & Analysis
Prepare project budgets, forecasts, and cost-value reports
•
Mentorship
Guide and develop junior commercial team members
•
Continuous Learning
Actively seek out and engage in professional development opportunities
•
Positive solutions
Approach challenges constructively
Quantity Surveyor requirements
Essential
- Degree or equivalent
- Working towards or have chartered membership of a recognised institution
- Experience in utilities/civil engineering/MEICA sectors
- NEC3/4 Experience
Desirable
- Experience of managing and developing an individual or small tea
- Knowledge of CEMAR
