Duties of the roadside vehicle technician

  • Responding to roadside recovery calls across Horsham and surrounding areas
  • Conducting vehicle diagnostics including tyre replacements, battery replacements, and fault detection
  • Recovering vehicles to local garages when repairs are necessary
  • Providing high-quality customer service whilst working in roadside conditions
  • Managing shift patterns that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends, with a predictable rota
  • Ensuring vehicle and customer safety during roadside assistance operations

Requirements of the roadside vehicle technician

  • Proven experience in roadside assistance, vehicle recovery, or similar roles
  • Level 2 qualification as a Vehicle Technician or equivalent
  • Strong diagnostic skills with experience in tyre repairs, battery replacements, and fault detection
  • Resilient and professional attitude, able to work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent customer service skills, maintaining professionalism in challenging situations
  • Reliable and flexible, willing to work various shifts including weekends if required
  • Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
