Caretaker

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker to join a small team at two Shopping Centres in Kent. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all visitors. This position requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and cleanliness in various settings.

Duties

Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces within the shopping centre.

Ensure that all areas are well-maintained and presentable at all times.

Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.

Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with environmental standards.

Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required.

Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.

Foster a positive atmosphere by engaging with leaseholders and visitors in a friendly manner.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Excellent organisational skills to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Good communication skills to interact positively with clients and colleagues.
