Marketing Officer – 1Leisure
1Leisure is seeking a creative, motivated, and experienced Marketing Officer to support the promotion and growth of our leisure services and Medina Theatre across the Isle of Wight.
Working closely with the Sales, Marketing, Social Media, and Theatre teams, the Marketing Officer will help create engaging, high-quality content across a range of platforms, including social media, websites, email, printed materials, and local media.
The role plays a key part in raising the profile of 1Leisure and Medina Theatre, supporting income generation through memberships, events, performances, and ticket sales, and ensuring all communications align with the Isle of Wight Council’s corporate communications standards.
Key responsibilities include
Supporting the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns across online and offline channels
Creating engaging content for websites, social media, apps, and printed materials
Designing promotional materials such as posters, banners, digital assets, and social media posts for 1Leisure and Medina Theatre
Writing clear, accurate, and engaging copy that reflects the 1Leisure brand and tone of voice
Capturing, editing, and captioning photos and videos to support digital content
Managing and updating website, app, and social media content
Responding promptly to social media comments and customer enquiries
Monitoring campaign performance and using data to improve future activity
Identifying new and creative marketing opportunities to support membership growth, increase theatre attendance and boost overall revenue
The successful candidate will have experience in digital and online marketing, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a creative approach to content development. You should be confident using social media platforms for business promotion and familiar with graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. An interest or background in leisure, theatre, fitness, events, or a similar customer-focused environment would be an advantage.
The role is based across 1Leisure sites, with flexibility required to meet service and campaign needs.
