The post holder will Contribute to effective communication within the multidisciplinary team. Participate in nursing and practice meetings as required. Monitor and report stock or equipment issues in line with practice procedures. Participate in mandatory training and continuing professional development. Participate in research and service development activities where appropriate.Nursing Skilled in asthma care Developed understanding of COPD Experience of hypertension Accomplished in wound management and implement wound care in line with current evidence-based guidelines and local policies. Able to perform Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation according to current UK guidelines. Offer advice and administer childhood and adult vaccinations under patient group directions according to national immunisation programmes. Offer health promotion and lifestyle advice on diet, alcohol intake and exercise. Offer a holistic approach in monitoring patients with chronic diseases according to NICE guidelines Perform cervical cytology smear tests Perform venepuncture Suture/staple removal. NHS Travel immunisation Perform ECGs Able to recognise and manage anaphylaxis according to current UK guidelines. Ensure infection control and cold chain guidelines are maintained. Ability to monitor and manage maintenance of stock and equipment to include refrigeration cold chain management and emergency equipment. Ensures awareness of statutory and local clinical protection procedures, including Safeguarding Children and vulnerable adults.
