Our client, a leading educational services provider in Staines, Surrey, is seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time 1:1 In-Person Tutor to join their team. 1 In-Person Tutor, you will be responsible for providing personalised and comprehensive academic support to our clients' students, helping them to achieve their full potential. Your role will involve working closely with each student to identify their unique learning needs, develop a tailored curriculum, and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
The successful candidate will possess a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of success in tutoring. You should be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the subject matter and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest educational trends and pedagogical best practices.
In this role, you will be based in Staines, Surrey, and will be expected to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of our clients and their students. The salary range for this position is £25 - £28 per hour, depending on your qualifications and experience.

1 In-Person Tutor, your key responsibilities will include
- Conducting thorough assessments of each student's learning needs and developing personalised learning plans to address their strengths and weaknesses
- Delivering engaging and interactive lessons that utilise a variety of teaching methodologies and resources to cater to different learning styles
- Providing regular feedback and progress updates to students and their families, and collaborating with them to ensure that the students' educational goals are being met
- Maintaining detailed records of each student's progress and achievements, and using this information to continuously refine and improve the tutoring approach
- Staying up-to-date with the latest curriculum standards, assessment practices, and educational technologies, and incorporating them into your teaching approach
- Fostering a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to be actively engaged and motivated in their studies
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills
- A bachelor's degree or higher in the subject area you wish to tutor, or a related field
- Relevant teaching or tutoring experience, preferably in a 1:1 or small group setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and connect with students of all ages and backgrounds
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in the use of educational technology, such as online learning platforms, interactive whiteboards, and educational software
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals
