A private family is seeking a warm, kind and emotionally supportive live-in carer for their 93-year-old relative. This is a permanent position working 30-34 hours per week, based on Friday through Monday mornings with overnight stays. The successful candidate will provide compassionate personal care, support with daily living activities, and friendly companionship to help the client feel safe, understood and supported.
Key responsibilities

The carer will live in the client's home and have the following responsibilities
- Manage and administer medicines
- Support with hygiene and toileting needs, taking care with the client's delicate skin
- Assist with mobility and moving around the home
- Shop for groceries and prepare meals
- Carry out household tasks including cleaning and laundry
- Provide transport to appointments
- Provide overnight reassurance and support
- Offer companionship and be a friendly, engaging presence

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Care Certificate
- CQC (Care Quality Commission) mandatory training
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Fluent English speaker
- Ability to cook
- Ability to provide warm, reassuring and emotionally supportive care
- Patience, kindness and the ability to help people feel safe and understood
Working pattern

30-34 hours per week, Friday through to Monday morning with overnight sleep-in in own room. Rates are negotiable for the whole weekend.
