The Nursery operates from a substantial "White House" called the Oratory Montessori Day Nursery. Our aim is to create a ‘home away from home’ environment which is relaxed, safe and caring for children and parents alike.
Our rooms are fresh and bright with dedicated areas for sleep, meals and active play. Equally important are our secure outdoor play areas to help the children develop an awareness of the natural world about them and a sense of well-being as well as the opportunity to develop their gross motor skills. We want your child to enjoy being in a safe and caring environment from the moment you drop them off to the time you pick them up. Our dedicated staff are ready to give a hug or helping hand when needed and they also have the skills and knowledge required to stretch your child’s imagination and learning.
Job description
A fantastic opportunity has become available at Oratory Montessori Day Nursery. They are looking for an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join their ‘Good’ setting, to fit well within their friendly team and learn skills on the job whilst supporting children’s play, learning & development.
Duties Will include
- Caring for children
- Preparing and maintaining environments to meet children's needs
- Supporting children's play and learning
- Supporting children's development
- Adhere to all safeguarding practices
- Preparing snacks and help with their feeding and cleaning
To become an apprentice, you must
be 16 or over
not already be in full-time education
As an apprentice you’ll
complete a Level 2 or 3 Early Years apprenticeship standard, level is dependant on qualifications and experience
have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
learn and train for a specific job
get paid and receive holiday leave
get hands-on experience in a real job
study for at least 20% of your working hours
complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
be on a career path with lots of future potential

Future Prospects
This vacancy is for a permanent position (for at least the duration of the Apprenticeship) with the possibility of fulltime employment within Oratory Montessori Day Nursery, upon the successful completion of the apprenticeship programme.
