About this role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Clinical/Counselling Psychologist within CAMHS Getting More Help Services, based in the Berkshire CAMHS East Specialist Community Team covering Bracknell, Slough, and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. This is a full-time (37.5 hours), substantive role.

The Specialist Community Teams provide assessment, therapeutic intervention, and care coordination for children and young people experiencing moderate to severe, complex mental health difficulties. The team works collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary environment and alongside partner agencies to deliver high-quality, holistic care.

The post-holder will join a team of clinicians to deliver assessments, care coordination, multi-agency working, and evidence-based psychological interventions for young people and their families. The role also includes supervision of junior colleagues where appropriate, alongside access to clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.

Applications are welcomed from candidates in the final stages of their professional psychology doctoral training, including those anticipating delays in qualification due to research submission timelines.   • provide comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions to young people and their families
  • provide care co-ordination for young people open to the service
  • independently manage an appropriately sized caseload
  • use supervision effectively
  • offer supervision and training to junior colleagues and other agencies as appropriate

  • work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice
  • contribute to audit, service development and research, as appropriate
  • maintain own continuing professional development and contribute to team professional development initiatives
