We are looking for a reliable, organised, and proactive part-time Personal Assistant to support with household administration and coordination in a private home setting in Headington, Oxford for my mum, who has a spinal cord injury and needs admin and organisation support.
This role is primarily focused on managing day-to-day admin, improving communication, and helping maintain smooth organisation of care and household systems. I am Coleen's daughter, and will be there to help get you set-up and ensure you have eveything you need.
Hours
- Approx. 2–3 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling
- Potential for additional hours initially to help set up systems and processes
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Organisation- Managing and organising emails, texts, and correspondence
- Assisting with banking tasks (e.g. paying invoices, tracking expenses)
- Booking and coordinating appointments
- Keeping digital and physical files well-organised
- Supporting household organisation and systems
Care Coordination &
Communication- Streamlining communication between
- Live-in carer
- Visiting carers
- Family members (daughter lives at home; but works full-time)
- Taking notes, tracking key information, and ensuring follow-ups are completed
- Supporting coordination with healthcare providers and social services
- Helping track progress on home adaptations and related processes
Personal Support- Assisting with writing personal emails and messages to friends and family
- Recording questions or notes to raise with medical professionals
- Helping ensure important tasks and requests are not missed
Household Oversight- Noticing and flagging issues around the home (e.g. maintenance)
- Helping coordinate repairs or services when needed
Ideal Candidate- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident managing emails, scheduling, and creating / managing admin systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital tools
- Proactive, with the ability to take initiative
- Trustworthy and comfortable handling sensitive information
Desirable (but not essential)
- Background or experience in healthcare, social care, or support work
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or complex needs
- Interest in improving the quality of life through thoughtful organisation and support
Additional Information
- Must be comfortable with cats (two in the home)
- This is a private household role requiring professionalism and discretion
Pay- Competitive hourly rate of £20/hour
