About this role
Day to day tasks involve making referrals, Advice and Guidance requests, manage the E-referral workflow, typing letters that have been dictated by the GPs or creating them on their behalf either by audio transcribing or via written. Produce referrals from any incoming clinical letters The main point of contact for the Surgery Patient Participation Group and assist them with the production and proof reading of the quarterly newsletter for the surgery. Organise and book appointments with the GPs and other clinicians as required. Liaise regularly with other medical secretaries and consultants via email and telephone. Create invoices requesting payment for any private work we carry out. Registrations - registering new patients and deducting any patients leaving our Practice, manage the GP2GP workflow Summarise patient records, prepare reports including insurance reports, mortgage reports, fostering reports, shotgun licences, Personal Independence reports (PIP) and Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency (DVLA) reports.
