Clinical Teaching Fellow in Stroke Medicine

Ideally you have decided on Geriatrics/ Stroke Medicine as your preferred career or are in an allied specialty with an interest in Elderly care & education. Alternatively, you will have done F2 and looking for a new experience before deciding what you would like to do. You will have an active interest in improving the quality of care within the Trust. You will be capable of managing projects both independently and under supervision and be skilled at team working. Regular supervision meetings with a training Consultant will help you shape your future career. The Stroke Department is keen to promote subspecialty interests and the Consultant body has expertise in education, simulation, acute stroke care, pre-hospital medicine, teaching and research. The consultants are actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medicine and are involved at developing services at regional and national level. The academic unit is recognised worldwide and has a track record of major publications, grants, and supervision to completion of MD and PhD candidates.
