Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine

To provide, with colleagues in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine services in both in-patient and out-patient settings. To contribute to on-call cover 9am-5pm for the department. Active participation in monthly clinical governance & academic meetings within the department. Participation and involvement in meetings and other businesses in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine service. The successful applicants will be expected to contribute to medical audit and clinical governance and clinical governance meetings take place on alternate months. The successful candidates will be expected to maintain his/her professional development to the level set by the Royal College of Physicians. The department runs an annual appraisal system in line with the National Appraisal Scheme for Consultant Medical Staff (as outlined in MD5/01) and expects every consultant to maintain a personal development portfolio.
