Notices when someone’s a bit quieter than usual
Doesn’t mind a chat, a laugh, and the occasional life story
And actually cares (not just says you do)
…you’ll probably be really good at this job.
What is it, really?
Domiciliary care — supporting people in their own homes.
That might look like
Helping someone get ready for the day (or ready for bed)
Making a cuppa and having a proper chat
Supporting with medication
Helping with meals, shopping, or just getting out and about
Being a familiar, friendly face they look forward to seeing
Some visits are quick.
Some are slower.
All of them matter.
