About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of the students with diverse needs.
Your responsibilities will include

Individualized Support
Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with a variety of SEN, implementing tailored learning plans and strategies.

Collaborative Teamwork
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to student learning.

Positive Classroom Environment
Creating a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and well-being.

Communication and Collaboration
Maintaining clear and effective communication with parents, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the student's care.

Adaptability and Flexibility
Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in adjusting teaching strategies and support plans to meet individual student needs.
Ideal Candidate

Proven SEN Experience
Demonstrated experience working with students with a variety of SEN, including (list specific needs relevant to the school, e.g., autism, learning difficulties, physical disabilities).

Passionate and Empathetic
A genuine passion for supporting students with SEN and a deep understanding of their unique needs and challenges.

Strong Communication Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.

Team Player
A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated and supportive team.

Patient and Understanding
A calm and patient approach to working with students with diverse learning styles and emotional needs.

Resourceful and Creative
The ability to think creatively and find innovative ways to support student learning and overcome challenges.
Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
- Relevant experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- SEN experience is essential.
