About this role
What skills and experience we're looking for
We’re seeking a professionally qualified Plumber to join our Estates team as we build new in-house services for our schools. Reporting to the Estates Manager, you will take ownership of delivering high-quality plumbing and mechanical services across the Trust, ensuring all systems are maintained to the highest standards. Acting as the Trust’s go-to expert for all plumbing-related matters, you will oversee both planned and reactive maintenance, support compliance activities and contribute to the smooth running of specialist facilities such as hydrotherapy and splash pools.
Your responsibilities will include diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and upgrades, maintaining key systems and water heaters.
With opportunities to contribute ideas, develop your skills and make a tangible impact, this role offers a rewarding blend of autonomy, teamwork and professional growth within a supportive and purpose-driven organisation.
About You
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated plumbing professional who brings both technical expertise and a positive, can-do attitude. You’ll hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Domestic Heating (or equivalent), alongside hands-on experience maintaining and repairing plumbing systems in a commercial environment. With a solid understanding of building maintenance and the ability to interpret drawings and schematics, you’ll be confident working independently as well as part of a wider team. You’ll also bring essential knowledge of water regulations and legionella awareness, with a willingness to continue developing your skills through ongoing training. A full driving licence is required, as is a readiness to work across a variety of environments, including at heights and in confined spaces.
If you’re looking for a role where your expertise is valued and your contribution truly makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
