We are currently partnering with a welcoming and inclusive school in Crawley that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and thrive within a nurturing school environment.

Key responsibilities include

  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
  • Working collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to deliver tailored interventions and support strategies
  • Assisting students in accessing the curriculum and developing social, emotional, and communication skills
  • Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that supports pupil wellbeing and engagement
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours

What We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates who have

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN within a school or specialist setting
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach when working with children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with additional needs
  • A DBS registered on the Update Service
