Our client, a renowned educational institution in Redhill, Surrey, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-time SEN Teacher to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator who is committed to making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.
As a Part-time SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging, personalised lessons that cater to the unique needs and learning styles of our students. You will work closely with a team of experienced educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure that each student receives the individualised attention and support they require to reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students. You will be a strong communicator, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues alike.
In this role, you will be responsible for
- Designing and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that address the specific learning needs of students with a variety of special educational needs
- Collaborating with the wider SEN team to develop and implement effective, evidence-based strategies to support student progress
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, and providing regular feedback to students, parents, and the SEN team
- Maintaining detailed records and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
- Participating in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities to continuously improve your practice
- Promoting a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, and academic growth of all students
To be successful in this role, you will need
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or equivalent, with a specialism in Special Educational Needs
- Significant experience working with students with a range of special educational needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and physical disabilities
- A deep understanding of the latest evidence-based teaching strategies and interventions for supporting students with SEN
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to continuously improve your practice
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond to the unique needs of each student
In return, our client offers a competitive salary of £34,398 - £52,490 per annum, pro-rata, based on your experience and qualifications.
