We are currently recruiting on behalf of a valued client for an experienced Subcontract Payments Clerk to join their team in the Maidstone area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-focused finance professional to step into a fast-paced environment and make an immediate impact, with the potential for the role to transition into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing subcontractor payments accurately and efficiently
  • Managing and reconciling payment runs
  • Handling subcontractor queries and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required
  • Ensuring compliance with internal processes and deadlines

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a subcontract payments or similar finance role
  • Experience within the residential housebuilding sector is essential
  • Working knowledge of COINS system (highly desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
