About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate outdoor educator to lead Forest School sessions and support off‑site educational visits for young people with SEMH needs. You’ll bring learning to life through hands‑on outdoor experiences, helping pupils build confidence, resilience and a love of the natural world.
What you will bring
Plan and deliver engaging Forest School sessions for small groups and 1:1 learners
Lead outdoor learning and educational visits that spark curiosity and support wider development
Adapt activities to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
Create safe, stimulating outdoor environments in all weathers
Work collaboratively as part of our One Team to support academic, social and behavioural progress
Maintain records, track progress and contribute to pupils’ accreditation pathways
About You
We’re looking for someone who is
Full UK driving licence
Experience working with children or young people (SEMH experience a bonus)
A genuine love of the outdoors and resilience to work in all conditions
Creativity, enthusiasm and a commitment to helping young people thrive

Riseley Green School is an independent specialist school near Reading, Berkshire, for autistic young people aged 4–16, with a capacity of 60 pupils.
We provide a nurturing, structured environment tailored to each child’s needs, fostering academic, social, and emotional growth. Small classes, high staff-to-pupil ratios, and personalised programmes ensure every pupil can thrive and reach their full potential. Our dedicated team works closely with families to support wellbeing, independence, and the development of essential life skills.
