Deputy Nursery Manager

40 Hours Per Week | Up to £35,000

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join a vibrant and supportive early years setting, working alongside a dedicated leadership team to deliver outstanding childcare and education.

The nursery features thoughtfully designed learning rooms for babies, toddlers, and pre-school children, creating engaging environments that support every stage of learning.

A strong emphasis is placed on outdoor learning, with outdoor play areas, including a dedicated playground and spacious garden used daily to encourage exploration, physical development, and imaginative play.

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification
  • Previous Deputy Nursery Manager experience (essential)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
  • Experience working across baby, toddler, and pre-school rooms
  • Confident, organised, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the overall management and leadership of the nursery
  • Oversee practice within baby, toddler, and pre-school rooms
  • Ensure high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding are consistently maintained
  • Lead staff development, coaching, and performance support
  • Assist with observations, planning, and quality improvement processes
  • Support occupancy, admissions, and parent engagement
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and regulatory standards are met at all times
  • Promote positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community
  • Step into the Nursery Manager role when required
