We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in the Wandsworth area.

This school provides a structured, nurturing environment for pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASD), physical disabilities, and communication difficulties. The role offers a highly rewarding opportunity to support pupils in developing their independence, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

A key aspect of the role includes supporting personal care, always ensuring dignity, respect, and safeguarding remain a priority.

Provide 1

1 and small group support for pupils with SEN

• Support with personal care, including hygiene and mobility
• Assist pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs
• Implement structured routines and personalised support strategies
• Support teachers in adapting lessons and learning resources
• Contribute to a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care setting)
• Confidence and willingness to undertake personal care responsibilities
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
• Understanding of safeguarding, SEN practices, and inclusive education
• Access to complimentary CPD training, including Autism Awareness and Behaviour Support
• Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant
