What You’ll Need

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner is essential
  • Deputy Nursery Manager experience would be highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Passion for delivering high-quality childcare and early education
  • Positive, organised, and proactive approach

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Nursery Manager in the daily running of the setting
  • Lead staff practice in line with EYFS and safeguarding requirements
  • Monitor room standards, planning, and child development outcomes
  • Provide guidance and supervision to practitioners and senior staff
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures
  • Step into management responsibility in the manager’s absence
