Religious Studies and Philosophy TeacherActivate Learning is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Religious Studies and Philosophy to join our academic team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire learners through high-quality teaching, innovative curriculum development, and meaningful student engagement. You will deliver A Level Religious Studies and Philosophy, supporting students to think critically, deepen their understanding, and achieve their full potential. In addition to your core teaching responsibilities, you will deliver two A Level tutoring sessions per week, and contribute to GCSE English Language provision, where teaching will be offered for a total of three hours.This is a permanent, part-time role working 26.5 hours (0.72 FTE) per week at our City of Oxford College Campus.What do you need to be successful in this role?Successful candidates will have a degree or above qualification in Religious studies/ Philosophy or a related subject area. Whilst we would prefer applications from qualified teachers who hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, we would consider applications from unqualified applicants, with the ability to inspire our learners and a willingness to complete a teaching qualification.In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will have an open mindset and attitude towards technology and virtual learning tools. Along with current Maths and English skills, you will also demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.What Activate Learning offer to new Teaching staff?Here at Activate Learning, we recognise the importance of a good induction when joining a new organisation.
