About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Engineer to join our Facilities Management team. In this role, you will deliver both planned and reactive electrical maintenance across LV systems, as well as support installation, inspection and testing activities.

You will play a key role in maintaining site reliability, responding to faults quickly to minimise downtime, and supporting project works where required. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on LV electrical systems

Support electrical installation, inspection and testing activities

Respond to faults, breakdowns and client requests, identifying root causes

Complete all work in line with SLAs, KPIs and health & safety regulations

Maintain accurate records, including statutory logbooks and reports

Use PDA/mobile systems to manage and update work orders

Escort and oversee contractors, ensuring work is completed to required standards

Identify and request materials required to complete maintenance tasks

Build and maintain strong working relationships with client representatives

Contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiency

Essential

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (JIB Gold Card standard)

18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Strong knowledge of building electrical systems and services

Electrical isolation and safety understanding

Experience working within a facilities maintenance environment

Good communication and organisational skills

IT literate, including Microsoft Office and mobile systems

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proactive, reliable and able to work under pressure
